Why we love ice cream!
D’lites Ice Cream Shops was formed in 1982 and in the 29 years of existence, D’Lites has developed
a customer base of over 3 million satisfied customers. The soft serve products are certified kosher dairy,
and can be suited to many diet programs.
It all started in Plantation, Florida over 25 years ago when Susan Corsover, at the age of 31, had her
first of two open-heart surgeries and began her second chance at life. Changing her lifestyle and diet
wasn’t easy and it wasn’t something she wanted to do . . . it was something she had to do. Susan was determined to beat the odds and live a long and healthy life . . . and she has!!
Susan began exercising and eating healthier and gave up fats and sweets. But the one thing
she really craved and missed was ice cream. She was able to give up many of her favorite foods but,
she couldn’t bear giving up ice cream.

So, she searched the country for a cholesterol free, low-fat ice cream that tasted like the creamy delicious old-fashioned dessert she craved. But, it didn’t exist. Disappointed but determined, Susan did the only thing she could to do to satisfy her craving and stick to her strict and essential diet-she invented her own low fat, low sugar, low carb, cholesterol-free ice cream. And so, D’Lites was born!!!

MY BIG YELLOW ICE CREAM TRUCK
It's what's on the inside that counts
My Big Yellow Ice Cream Truck became a dream of mine after I decided to walk away from a 15 year teaching career. I knew it was time for a change and D'Lites kept popping up in my head.
I loved getting D'Lites ice cream when I went into Austin with my dad. The best part was I could enjoy my love of ice cream without all the guilt. I soon became addicted! My favorite flavor is chocolate!
After much prayer, I approached my dad to see if he would partner with me in opening a D'Lites in my hometown of Lubbock, Texas. My dad is great business man and he was the backbone of getting my D'Lites food truck rolling. After many months of writing our business plan, applying for a loan, and training with the business the Lubbock location of D'Lites was born!
What makes my D'Lites so original is that I am the only location that is a food truck.
